We will have presentations from one of the original founders of APHG and former Arkansas Teacher of the Year, Paul Gray. Amber Pinter and Allison Dolan will cover content, predicting the FRQs, case studies, navigating APHG group sites, and test preparation. Guest speaker Dr. Mounir Farrah, University of Arkansas will speak on middle eastern geography and government. We will travel to Springdale for lunch where downtown renewal is occurring at a rapid pace and get to hear from Kelly Syer who works with the Downtown Springdale revitalization effort. Please bring with you your favorite activity/assignment to share in our group round robin.Please note: the National Geographic Society has supported the Arkansas Geographic Alliance for several years, but it will end this fall and future funding is uncertain. This may be one of the last workshops for high school teachers we will be able to offer.
